Four in the Morning

Can’t sleep. Too much going on in my head,.

Buried Dave’s ashes at Sea tonight. Near Seagrove Park. He would have liked that it was his favorite hangout.

My worries and anxiety is due to the fact that my painting studio is now infested with roaches.

Told Patrick about the problem on October 3.

A few days later they were all over the studio. I went upstairs to his office to ask for action since I had heard nothing from him since Oct. 3.He said he would let me know but it would be a few weeks and i would have to move all my paintings away from the walls. We had just moved all my paintings a few days before to reorganize the working area.

My boyfriend and i went to the hardware store and bought some borax powder roach killer and two roach traps. Moved the heavy bookcase,chairs and fridge, microwave, file cabinet and put a line of powder around the perimiter.

Then  after two hours of that,I went back upstairs to give him the receipt for $12 from the hardware store.

“They will spray your studio on Friday.”said Patrick,rental agent.

My landlord asks:

“do you have a refridgerator in there? well that’s the problem they have made a nest in the motor. Where did you get the fridge?Used? Oh it was new. How much did you pay for it? Couple hundred? From where?At a grogery store? No,not at a grocery store, at Target. Oh is it very old? how long have you had it?Oh not so old.Well you’ll have to unplug it take it out spray it with bug spray, keep it out side for a few days and bring it back in if it’s still working.”said Jamie hughes.

Next day I asked if i could carry it upstairs to the roof to do it.”No you can’t do that. Take itoutside on the street or  to your house and do  it outside there.”said Patick

I refused saying:

A. I don not want roaches in my car and

B. I will not bring these roaches to my house where I live.

“Oh you just wrap it in plastic” said Patrick.

how can Ieat food out of my fridge after it’s been sprayed with poison?

“Oh we do it allthe time with our rentals you just wash it out.”

I said you know I think Hughes Management should replace my fridge with a new one since these are not my roaches. I did not bring them here.I asked him to have Jamie call me since J.M. was usy on the phone. I received no call.

They are not moving on this. 

I have not been able to work in there  since Oct.3 2011 with out roaches jumping out and freaking me out. Five or six ran Out of my Art  books,this  was the last straw. Even if  I  move out how do I make sure I do not take them with me.
