It has been years since the attack on th World Trade Center but I still have not gone to the site. Each time I visit NYC I avoid it purposely. I cannot bear to see the actual spot where so many perished so unnecessarily.
I like to remember it fondly the way it was and still is in my memory wrapped up with my mom and sister who accompanied me there and are now both gone.
I am also a survivor of someone (my sister) who jumped from a skyscraper many years before 9/11.
She was a victim of the drug Thorizine which caused her to think she had lost her mind when actually it was the drug causing the problem. Although we know this now, we lost her in 1976 when we had not a clue regarding the adverse side effects of this drug. Still and all it does not make the loss any easier.
The Photos I included in last years post were to show the final reality of this type of violence.
This was not only to wipe out our financial institutions but to strike hard at the heart of all of us.
My heart goes out to the victims and their loved ones.
